View Storage System details
Storage system details provide information of storage system settings.
About this task
You can also view this information by clicking Dashboard > System Health > Actions > VIEW SYSTEM PROPERTIES.
Steps
- Select the storage system.

System > System Properties.
The following properties display in the Properties panel:
- Array Display Name
—Custom nice name that is assigned to storage system, if any. To assign a name, or change an existing name, click
. Storage system names must be unique from other storage names and cannot exceed 32 characters. Only alphanumeric characters, underscores ( _ ), and (-) are allowed. Storage system names are case-insensitive.
- Dell Service Tag—The Dell service tag (applicable to storage systems running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079))
- Product Model —The product model
- PowerMaxOS —The PowerMaxOS version (for storage systems running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)
- Microcode Version—The microcode version number (for storage systems running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)
- HyperMax OS or PowerMaxOS / Microcode Version—The OS / microcode version number (for storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977 or PowerMaxOS 5978)
- Microcode Registered Build—The microcode registered build number
- Microcode Date/Patch Date—The microcode date or patch date
- Capacity—Capacity of the storage system
- Cache Size (Mirrored)—Cache size
- Number of Front End Directors—Number of front-end directors
- Number of Back End Directors—Number of back-end directors
- Number of RDF Directors—Number of SRDF Directors
- Max Number of Hypers per Disk—Maximum number of hypers per disk
- Device Masking (VCM) Config State—Device masking VMware Configuration Manager configuration state
- VCMDB Access Restricted State—VCMDB access restricted state
- Device Masking (ACLX) Config State—Device masking ACLX configuration state

- System Bay LED state—System bay LED state
In the case where a system has more than one bay, there could be multiple bays, each with an LED status. The state can be configured (see Configure system bay LED state).
- Number of Configured (Symm) Devices—Number of configured storage system devices
- Number of Visible (Host) Devices—Number of visible host devices
- Number of Configured Actual Disks—Number of configured actual disks
- Number of Configured Spare Disks—Number of configured spare disks
- Number of Unconfigured Disks—Number of unconfigured disks
- Reliability State—This property reflects the overall RAID group and device group health. The possible values for the reliability state are:
- Optimal—All RAID groups in the device group are healthy and there is sufficient available spare capacity to cover any spindle in the device group.
- NoSpare—All RAID groups in the device group are healthy and there is insufficient available spare capacity in the device group (one or more spindles cannot be covered).
- Rebuilding—One or more RAID groups in the device group are in a Degraded state and rebuilding of the degraded RAID groups is taking place (assumes sufficient spare capacity to accommodate rebuilding).
- NoRebuild—One or more RAID groups in the device group are in a Degraded state and one or more RAID groups in the device group is prevented from rebuilding (due to insufficient spare capacity).
- Failed—One or more RAID groups in the device group are in a Failed state.
- SRP Name—SRP name
- Sized FBA Data Reduction Ratio—Sized FBA data reduction ratio for SRP
- Sized FBA Capacity (TB)—Sized FBA capacity (TB), rounded to a whole number
- Sized FBA Reducible (%)—Sized FBA reducible (percentage)
- Sized CKD Data Reduction Ratio—Sized CKD data reduction ratio for SRP
- Sized CKD Capacity (TB)—Sized CKD capacity (TB), rounded to a whole number
- Sized CKD Reducible (%)—Sized CKD reducible (percentage)
